Watch Dogs Legion Details Leak? [Jun 04, 2019, 10:11 am ET] – Share – Viewing Comments

listing on Amazon UK for a new Watch Dogs game called Watch Dogs Legion.
This has since been removed, but
Kotaku confirms they think this is legit, saying they've "heard the name
from several sources plugged into the company" and that this will be set in
London. It seems safe to guess this will be announced at E3, but in the
meantime, they add that they understand the description to be accurate in saying
the game will allow you to play as any NPC in the game, which means they won't
actually be non-playable characters. Word is:
Play as anyone, Every individual you meet in the open world, has a full set of animations, voice over, character traits and visuals that are generated & guided by gameplay systems.

The only character I really liked a lot in 2 was Wrench. I didn't hate the other characters but they were a bit boring.

I'm sure they'll brag about there being technically so many combinations that no two NPCs are exactly alike, but how often will you run into repeating voice overs and visuals that make many of them feel samey?
Playing as any NPC in the game seems extremely weird and gimmicky.
I also liked # 1 , beat it .... but just couldn't get into the 2nd at all. I tried many times but it was just to boring & lifeless for me.

Yeah, I had the savegame bug, but they fixed it long ago. There could be more though, haven't kept in touch.

I also loved the first one, but didn't like the second. Second one was just a mess of overwhelming randomness and weird characters that I didn't give a sh*t about. Also, it was more restrictive in gameplay, forcing you to physically get to areas to progress sometimes, which was broken if you tried to play sneakily. When you stun/choke someone, their body falls somewhere that you can't control and if it happens to be in the path of a patrolling NPC, you're screwed because you can't move the body. NO. no.

I don't know, I thought they were mocking that whole "Mr Robot" and Silicon Valley scene. I took the characters that way and enjoyed the game much more as a result. I mean a dude literally has an LED screen mask, you can't take them seriously

I liked the first two. The first one had a kind of hacking Punisher flavor to it and the second went in a script kiddies direction so it'll be interesting to see what they do in the third go round.
