All that said, if Assange had simply been a better guest, he'd still be in the Embassy:
Sounds preposterous... Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. If they said it in a "just trust us" manner without presenting evidence, it's fishy.

They need to present evidence or bust. The burden of proof is on them.
Exactly
The only reason they kicked him out was because of regime change in Ecuador and backroom deals with the usa. The dirty houseguest narrative plays well in the press and makes a lurid cover story.

"We've ended the asylum of this spoiled brat," a visibly flustered President Lenin Moreno said Thursday in a fiery speech explaining his decision to withdraw protection of Assange and hand him over to British police...

Embassy staff complained of him skateboarding at night, playing loud music and walking around in his underwear...

One senior Ecuadorian official described his room as a "sovereign territory within a sovereign territory" that none of the staff at No. 3 Hans Crescent could enter. But the stench from going weeks without a shower, and dental problem born of poor hygiene, was a constant nuisance...

Then there was the issue of Assange's poop, which authorities said he spread across embassy walls...

He should be sent home. Above all else the U.S. extradition charges should be fiercely fought against, it is nothing more than an attempt by the U.S. government seeking revenge for the embarrassment it received when clear evidence of War Crimes leaked. It is also a naked attempt for Trump to go after journalists for so called "fake news" and "enemy of the people." Trump also pardoned an actual War Criminal from the Iraq War, so we know exactly what examples he is setting: War Crimes are Ok.

Yeah, now I'm wondering about the validity of those complaints against Assange. The reality is Wikileaks embarrased el Presidente and this seems to be nothing more than petty revenge. I know if I was in his shoes I would have been the best guest possible. I also would have tried to figure a way out of the country as well.

I dunno man, there's only so many years of bullshit you can put up with.

That said, there are rumors that Ecuador received a huge loan or grant from the US for releasing him.

Uhh... not sure how Sweden is bending to U.S. will... I mean the U.S. wants him extradited to here... not to go back to Sweden after his sentience in the UK.

That said, I agree that the rape charges are probably bogus. But then again... so is alot of the #MeToo Movement. I feels sorry for the ladies that actually have a legit claim.

Yeah, Sweden isn't bending to the US will, yet. They have their own crimes they need to try and prosecute. We'll see what happens after that.

No, you don't understand. Cops are all magically heroes who deserve all the ass kissing, fawning, and dick sucking they get because...reasons. They're heroes, goddamnit! That's all you need to know.

Jesus, why the fuck can't you get with the program? Civil liberties, civil rights, accountability, and due process are bullshit socialist propaganda.

Not true. They exist for anyone that makes $300K per year or more.

Don't think they need to smear him at this point. They are going after him for "inciting a member of the military to commit the crime"... not that he published the stuff.

In other words... whether or not you believe the reason the US is extraditing him... I wouldn't think they feel the neeed to go to Sweden to re-open the rape thing. It's probably more along the lines of how the UK is jailing him for defaulting on his bail.

Assange was messy and did not make his bed when he stayed at the embassy so he has to go to jail for a long time.
