Gearbox has completed their
presentation on YouTube
for
Borderlands 3, showing off gameplay from their cel shaded shooter
sequel for the first time. The stream is still running as of this writing,
however, as they've turned the proceedings over to allow a bunch of streamer
attendees to set about influencing the heck out of us. The gameplay presentation
begins after a while (we can't pinpoint a time until the livestream ends),
showing off a lot that's familiar along with new and returning characters and
some new features such as mechs and other new vehicles. The presentation from
Gearbox emphasized external loot collection, so those happy with the Shift Code
system will be pleased at its return, and how these codes can now be earned by
watching Twitch streams with the
Borderlands 3 ECHOcast
Twitch Extension. The live chat during the stream was somewhat dominated by
folks upset at the game's Epic Games Store exclusivity making seemingly endless
comments referencing
