I played the 2 hour demo for my Switch. The art and graphics are beautiful, it's really great that the team was given the budget to create a 2D RPG in the vein of FF6 and they did a fantastic job. Unfortunately I found the gameplay to be merely okay. I think I'm over menu-driven combat, it was fine back in the day when there were technical limitations but today it just feels anachronistic and old. It's not bad, it plays fine, I just found it kind of boring. The story and writing are the sore spot for me though, it's hackneyed and hokey and oddly adult: I didn't expect to encounter direct threats of rape in a game looking like this. It tries to be melodramatic and it only works sometimes. So, I'm glad I didn't pay for it.

I'm also glad it's getting a PC port, though, that is good for PC and good for Steam. I won't be buying it though!

This looks appealing because I grew up on SNES JRPGs before moving to the PC, but I also haven't really enjoyed JRPGs since. Soooo... I dunno. Will watch some videos.

Awesome! This and Final Fantasy 15 are the two console RPGs I've wanted to play. Completed FF15. Looking forward to this.
