Anno 1800 Open Beta Underway [Apr 12, 2019, 09:47 am ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
The Anno 1800 open beta weekend is now underway. You can pick up a copy
of the beta client through the
Epic
Games Store or the
Ubisoft Official Store and play the game for free between now and Sunday.
This post on Anno Union has all the details, including word that save games
will not carry over, but there is an exclusive reward awaiting those who
participate. There's no NDA, so players can feel free to share their

Let’s talk Open Beta
The Open Beta is the perfect opportunity for you to test the game prior to its launch. Starting on April 12 and running until April 14, it will give everyone in the community a final chance to test Anno 1800 prior to its release on April 16.
Open Beta Game Content
You will be able to test a near-final version of the game and see the improvements since our Closed Beta for yourself, including access to the Multiplayer mode. Moreover, while game progression will again be capped at tier 3, we will for the first time invite you all to get your hands on Anno 1800’s story-based campaign, as the complete first Act will be part of the Open Beta.
There’s no NDA, so stream away
With this being an Open Beta, there won’t be a NDA. Therefore, you are not only allowed, but also in fact highly encouraged to share your experiences and to create content, whether it is streaming, videos or resource calculators!

playing it now, its looks beautiful. i'll be building stuff and stop for a few minutes and zoom in to see all the small details going on.
So yeah, blazed through the open beta.. and love it 
Seems a LOT of things old Anno players always asked is now there, like the display of production times (which helps immensely to know what the ratio of buildings is). So to me, this is a must-buy now
By the way, you can get around the demo limitations a bit to reach the 3rd citizen tier by buying steel instead of producing it, since that mission pushes you to act 2 (which ends the demo/beta)
Or you play freeplay where you can build iron mines just fine

This is buy for me. Game is gorgeous and the presentation, the music everything is just fantastic.
There are still bugs here and there but I am sure it'll get all patched up.
Hope I can put a bit more time in before the beta wraps up.

Edit: Game is gorgeous. Still a bit buggy however. Was cruising along nicely then all my workers disappeared. Asked about it on the official forums so we'll see what they say.
