Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice a Million Times

Publisher Activision and developer FromSoftware announce that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice sold more than two million copies within 10 days of the release of this action/adventure a few weeks ago. They don't break this down further, simply saying, "the game has performed well on all platforms including PC." Here's word on the game's success:

Fantastic game, well deserved success. It's funny how many comparisons its drawn to the Souls games but it plays very differently from them.

In what way(s)? The only appreciable difference in my experience is there are far fewer bosses who catch players off guard and steamroll them, and the death penalty is negligible this time around.
