But here you are, all kinds of offended over words never even said. Yes, people can be offended over what is said, but you're imagining things to be angry. This is how sensitive and emotional you are.
If you step back and go "hey, maybe this isn't what's being said," you'd be a lot less emotional and a lot more able to think clearly about it. Instead, you're very determined to be slighted and belittled by words not slighting and belittling you.
Of course one gets emotional when they are offended.
Foreget the white nationalist bit for now... no one ever called me one to my face, but I'm sure if I went to some conservative event (whether I agreed or was just curious) I would be labled as one.
On the White Privilege thing... the bottom line is this... we are talking about a "Measurement by skin tone". It doesn't matter what that skin tone is, to be discriminatory. In this case... you said "Measure of whiteness", which I think is ludicrous.
You say I'm taking it personally... ok... the media liquid feeds us with constant comentaries and interviews regarding "white privilege", just for being white
. How does a white person not take that personally? How does a person who busted his/her ass for years not get offended by a term that appears to dismiss their accomplishments as being "easy"?
