The opening sentence from "The Day the Dinosaurs Died
" is incorrect in every way.
If, on a certain evening about sixty-six million years ago, you had stood somewhere in North America and looked up at the sky, you would have soon made out what appeared to be a star.
asteroid would have been basically invisible to the naked eye and not possessing any qualities of what we call a star.
