World of Warcraft Welcome Back Weekend

The World of Warcraft Website announces a "Welcome Back Weekend" for the MMORPG will kick off on Thursday, permitting everyone with an inactive account to spend a few days in Azeroth for free. Blizzard is also offering the chance to spend some money, should you choose, with their Welcome Back Weekend Sale. Here's word:
Join the Welcome Back Weekend March 21–24
Battle for Azeroth™ is in full swing, and everyone is needed on the front lines. This weekend, we’re upgrading all inactive World of Warcraft accounts, granting returning players full access to the game* and all their characters—including the Battle for Azeroth trial experience, for those who don’t own the latest expansion—through March 24.

Spread the Word!
As the war in Azeroth rages on, the champions of the Horde and the Alliance look to their in-game friends for help. Whether it’s levelling up for experience, gearing up for combat, or mounting up to see the world, World of Warcraft is always best enjoyed in groups, however big or small. If you have guildmates, friends, or family who haven’t been in Azeroth for a while, let them know they can play for free this weekend.

Yeah, I quit then too. I went back for Legion though, which I enjoyed. But the most recent expansion didn't seem like it would be worth staying for. I might try Classic... I think I'll wait for the initial reviews, but I am cautious, I think the potency of the nostalgia might be less powerful than many seem to expect...

My wife and I (and most of our friends) quit Cata when Panda was announced and haven't been back since. We are all psyched for WoW Classic and plan on coming back. Common summer!

I miss the class hall and artifact weapons. I DON'T miss legendaries

I appreciate Blizzard's attempts to bring something new to WOW. I wish it wouldn't be disposable expansion-only content though.

Ha Ha nice try Activision, but

Revert all the class changes that ruined why I like to play them and maybe I would consider it.

They’d have to get rid of PvP for that. PvP is why the classes homogenized in the first place. They didn’t tweak much on the classes since Legion, but they did rework all the spell effects...some look crazy awesome now.

BFA is a pretty blah expansion. While it’s nice that both sides have completely separate leveling storylines and zones, it doesn’t feel like they put the heart into it like they did with Legion. The wife and I stopped re-upping after the third month.

I like seeing some of my old friends and certain aspects of the game experience in WoW. Pop in and see what has changed since I last popped in.
