New Mexico the most coal-heavy state to pledge 100% carbon-free energy by 2045.
That's a bit like saying you'll quit smoking after you die of lung cancer.

a New York hedge fund called Acme Equities swooped in with an offer to buy the 46-year-old plant. According to Power Magazine, Acme intends to retrofit the plant with carbon capture and sequestration technology. If the deal goes through, Acme would use the captured carbon in enhanced oil recovery, where carbon is forced into older or weak oil wells to improve the pressure of the well and extract more oil

That doesn't really count as carbon capture if you're using it to pull more of it out the ground...

It's only because they will be out of coal by then.

Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language...they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.

Well, that's surprising and odd. I always assumed NM would be one of the greener states.
