A touque is just a warm hat. It can be a stocking cap, a longshoreman cap, etc. Anything that keeps your head actually warm in winter - never a baseball cap, newsboy cap, etc. The K-beckers always wore stocking caps. Whereas the rest of mostly wear longshoreman caps in the winter. Unless it's cold as a witch's teet in which case it's time to break out the balaclava. Scarves and gloves here are almost always more about practicality than fashion.
