The support and excitement for Apex Legends has been more than we could have imagined. The whole team is thrilled to see people loving the game as much as we do. We love the praise, but we also want to hear what could be better. A few things for example we’d love your feedback on:
- How do weapons feel? Distinct? Samey?
- Do Legend abilities feel effective?
- Are you finding loot quickly enough? Is ammo too hard to find? Is a type of ammo feel to scarce?
- What areas of the game could be explained better?
- What do you wish Apex had that it doesn’t
- What are your favorite cosmetics?

Ok, so I pretty much played this game all weekend long. It's very addicting and fun. The only problems I have with it are: PEOPLE. Just like every multiplayer game.
The people who go off in 2 seperate directions so you try to pick one to follow only it is obvious they do not want to play as a squad.
The people who die/quit immediately after jumping so you essentially play solo. (Although I have hit 3rd and 2nd place a few times as a solo.)
The people who grab EVERYTHING and then curse you out because you die, even though they left you nothing to fight with.
The people who knowingly walk into a fire fight with 5 other squads and curse you out because you couldn't rez them even though you were a bit busy fighting for your life.
When you get a decent squad, or even a not terrible squad this game is brilliant. Much harder to enjoy with horrible players or assholes.

So this game requires Origin and you can't play it with Steam, and yet there's no mass outrage from angry gamers with boycott threats and review bombing of Respawn's other games? Curious hey.
You must not remember all the outrage against Origin when it was first released. It's been around for awhile now, by and large people have learned to live with it as one of those "It fucks you, but what can you do?" things in life.
There was outrage against Steam when it first launched. 'Tis the way it is withdigital storefronts.gamers and anything that isn't exactly what they already know.

It's not an apple to apple comparison. Several key differences:
1. Apex is free to play with MTX. Metro Exodus is a $50 title.
2. Apex launched on EA's proprietary platform. Exodus had a long pre-sale period on Steam then went exclusive Epic two-weeks before launch.
3. Apex launched under the radar of other hyped products (e.g. Anthem, Metro Exodus). Controversy is the primary driver surrounding Exodus's hype. Meanwhile, there was no controversy with Apex Legends. It just released like an after-thought.
4. Origin is a stable platform that is backed by big publisher EA.
5. People are used to EA products having exclusivity on their platform. That's not the same as Deep Silver going exclusive to Epic. First and foremost, Deep Silver didn't develop the Epic launcher/store. They had a choice to put their game on as many platforms for the broadest coverage and best ROI. Instead, they chose a compromised platform with a fraction of Steam's customer base based on whatever money Epic gave them.
Bottom line, Origin is a better platform than Epic's platform. I have yet to hear of security breaches happening on EA's platform.
I would buy Metro Exodus on Origin before I would ever buy it from the Epic store, and that comes from someone who tolerates Origin's existence.

I guess I'm lying when I say the advanced but intuitive spotting system makes playing with randos pretty simple and enjoyable.
edit: lol, just saw an ad for this game on facebook, was curious to see what the top comment was...

Yeah I don't know, but I keep getting placed with random players who play like bots, don't res, run straight into enemy players and don't talk.
Im trying to stay positive here but what the actual fuck? How come you guys are having a better experience than I am?

Another kid game and shocked to see many in this thread playing it. What are you twelve?
There's a lot of other games out there which makes you use your brain in a positive way.

Average match time: 10-15 min., there is wall running(Vertically). Apex is very fast paced, if you know how to utilize your skills and the map features. This game has hit the ground running and didn't miss a beat, full featured, no Early Access BS, Smooth as Silk.

I had a great bit of fun trying this out last night. Smooth as silk, no server issues.. it was a proper way to launch a game. The weapons feel punchy and satisfying, and I like the fast paced action quite a bit. Played with randoms trying to learn the game and weapons and whether they talked or not (about 50/50), I still felt I was learning and doing better in matches at my own pace. Not a single dickhead tryhard berating me or other people not doing good in our squads, and if that did happen you can just mute anyways, so no issues for me there. I really think Respawn hit a home run with this one, and if they can find a way to add a 'Titan' game mode in the future I would be all for trying that.. but the game is quite good as it is now.

Can't really speak to the earn-rate; it's obviously going to be faster if you're good at the game and it could amount to a ludicrous grind for a normal player, for all I know. But it's certainly possible.
Two classes hidden behind a paywall? There isn't a way to earn them by playing?
Thx for the explanation!
