Nvidia is such a POS. I will not buy from them again.

I wait for a day there is something that is clearly better than Nvidia products, not that I dislike them, but I always want better.

So almost a 30% increase over the previous chip, not to shabby.

What resolution is that?

Also, why isn't Into the Breach on that list?

Wait for real benchmarks, that comes from AMD itself. Both sides have gotten up to nonsense in the past so I wouldn't put any stock in the benches until real review sites get a hold of it. Same thing with Zen 2 even though I am personally excited for it.

Same price, less features compared to an RTX 2080... I am still hoping AMD can put some pressure on Big Green in the future - but with this gpu they definitely cannot.
They're waiting for you, Gabe, in the test chamber!

From the article: Max settings in 4K

As for the lack of ItB, AMD only bench-marked games that I pre-approved, and since you never responded to my e-mail asking for recommendations ... Grin Wink

The only thing that flat-earthers have to fear is sphere itself.

The pricing is stupid for both AMD and nVidia... mostly due to HBM2 and GDDR6 memory costs.

If AMD made a VII with only 8GB, and a couple hundred dollars off the price... 1080p gamers would snap them up.

It's yet another rebranding from AMD, frankly a bit embarrassing at this point, pretty much identical specs to the Instinct 150. So yeah thanks for the lower binned stuff at premium prices I guess. It's rumored that the General Manager at RTG got shitcanned over this and other issues that lead to a talent drain there. Hopefully RTG can get it together again for Navi because the market desperately needs real competition so prices can come back to earth.

The first thing that came to my mind when seeing the new AMD GPU was "underwhelming." If it were half the price then maybe it would not be so bad, though still not great. I still wouldn't be interested in it anyway. My RTX 2080 Ti is doing just fine (which I got an insane deal on).

He's probably not wrong, it's a bridge to Navi at best and frankly not a great value. It's power draw is going to be nuts too. Frankly it was one of the more underwhelming GPU announcements I've seen.

Zen 2 on the other hand was potentially exciting but we need real benches, not cherry picked Cinebench stuff. I'm hopeful about that second space for another chiplet, they probably don't want to cannibalize current offerings and are holding off showing it.
