Alien Isolation was a complete fucking waste of time.
Your opinion certainly runs contrary to the metacritic score.
I had no trouble playing and completing Alien: Isolation and its DLC. I thought it was a fantastic, well done game and wanted more when I completed it.

Oh. I get it now.
Those of you who basically want DOOM: Alien are apparently referring to some new age garbage movies where the Alien was trivialized into serving as cannon fodder for some kewl lulz Ripley offspring dudette who pwnz Alien azz with her BFG gatling gunz.
Um. Yeah.
Glad I never watched any of that shit. There is only one true Alien and it's the 1979 flick with Weaver. That movie perfectly captured the horror and suspense of an unknown alien threat with a space ship crew stacked against overwhelming odds.
An awesome movie that focused more on how the Alien fucked with the crew's minds on a psychological level and how it changed them instead of boom boom splosions boom bang boom bang lol dead aliens loooool yeaaaaahhhhh right on baaaaabbbe shoot the fucker in the face luuuuuullllzzz.
*sigh*

Now, now...the sentry guns only worked because of Hollywood magic of never-ending supply of ammunition for thematic effect![]()
That's exactly the opposite of what happens in that scene considering it mostly consists of watching limited ammo counters running down to empty while Hicks talks. Then the aliens get past their defenses immediately after the ammo runs out.
While I was being somewhat facetious in my statement about the endless ammo, in all honesty, there's no way that 500 rounds could be housed in those turrets internally as was shown in the movie.
Well, since they have ammo drums on the side, I'm pretty sure they could hold 500 rounds.

As for your reasoning that a sequel did not come out right away just because one was teased shows a diconnect with reality. You might remember a game called Half-Life 2.
Using Valve development as a basis for personal attack? Ok.

I loved it too, but I wouldn't play it without the AI mod that helps alleviate the very problem he's complaining about.
