CliffyB: The Musical

A Cliff Bleszinski tweet drops the other shoe on his recent tease of new career news that is "not game related at all." Now the former Bosskey and Epic Games designer pays off on that with the announcement that he's headed for the great white way as a co-producer on HADESTOWN, a new Broadway Musical. The HADESTOWN Website has details on the play, which will be entering previews on March 22nd. Break a leg Cliff! Here's the tweet:
NEWS!

I'm officially co-producing this show.

That's my next gig!

(Crazy, eh?!)

It's on Spotify, give it a go. It's fantastic!

Look, I'm happy you worked on UT99 and made it one of the best games ever. Cliffy you need to get medical help for your PTSD from releasing a crap game. Just stay retired.

If you yokels would stop for a moment and visit the site, you'll see that he's not involved in creating the show. He's only co-backing it with several others (e.g. from the credits page: Producers Mara Isaacs, Dale Franzen, Hunter Arnold, and Tom Kirdahy).

P.S. Blue the headline is a tad misleading. He's not even a main producer. His name doesn't appear on the credits. It looks like he's a "silent" partner.

Well, personally, I believe there is plenty of potential for Cliffy to make it on Broadway; he just needs to try to stick with comedy because being the guy that brought us 'Lawbreakers' obviously means he's got one HELL of a sense of humor.

Not going to dis the guy for trying something else.

I'm just glad he's trying something else, because apparently him and a huge chunk of PC gamers have a immense loathing for each other.

IF he wanted to be a silent partner & wanted some peace and quiet & didn't want it to be about him ,... he wouldn't be blabber-tweeting it about to everyone.

Always puzzled me why Sweeney went along with that--it was the PC that put Epic on the map--and now Sweeney has come back to the fold, now that the x86 PC according to AMD has absorbed the console market and the PC market is a big multiple of times larger than it was when he left it. Perhaps without B's epically bad advice things might be different this time around. However, Fortnite does absolutely nothing for me...;) "They can take this dance and shove it"...!

The source is Cliffy's own tweet, which is quoted here for your convenience... "I'm officially co-producing this show" is not ambiguous. It's not Blue's job to dig in and research this random musical to find out whether he's being wholly truthful. I don't think anyone else cares.
