Out of the Blue

You know how it is, your favorite team is going through another rough season, so you try and put the bad out of your mind, concentrate on positive developments, and hope for the best. Then ESPN publishes an article titled 10 years later, how Plaxico Burress shooting unraveled NFL's best team to spoil all any attempt to be Zen about this. Okay, maybe this isn't a shared experience for all of us, but most Giants fans will be with me on this. It's a small comfort to see the team's leaders from the time taking responsibility for not handling this as well as they could have, but a decade later the disappointment that they did not remains pretty strong.

Valve is apparently trying to bring the big devs who have made their own shitty distribution services back with better profit sharing if they hit certain milestones. Seems like the devs who are smaller and not hitting astronomical sales numbers would benefit most from being able to keep more of the profits of their work, but this is obviously aimed at getting larger devs to think twice about committing to their own in-house distribution services.

The morons of today have ditched trusting the "elites" in favor of a different elite, now they trust an idiot with an elite fortune, with no regard for how that person acquired or maintains that fortune.

What a horrible way to figure out that the safety on a glock is the trigger. Or what a horribly designed safety.

I was kinda hopin' that would be you.

Enh, reviews are "mixed" on Steam atm. Sixty bucks is too pricey to risk it. This is where Steam's 2 hour window is a joke. With games like this it takes 2 hours just to get the game setup. Gonna' wait and see for now but it's hard because it does look pretty effin' sweet. And at least Egosoft is actually delivering space games and not just fleecing people for money like someone else who will remain unnamed.

Nasa will release a hybrid snakehead fish/climbing perch on the lunar surface to combat the cane toad infestation.
In theory it should work swimmingly. But if it fails, Nasa said they have a working Anopheles mosquito/deer tick hybrid that thrives in low grav environments.

our labrador retriever would eat just about anything that was organic. Plus some inorganic items too. Eggs (raw with shells) and tea bags were her favourite 'stolen' foods. Autumn was a nightmare time, she would run out to the apple tree and feast until she was ill then feast again (and on the puke), obviously having belly ache all night (and doing it again the next day despite me sweeping the apples, our tree dropped a few)

She always loved a good walk though and lived to a ripe age of 14. Digestively speaking labradors are a marvel of organic waste disposal.

Rule change at JAL? I guess they picked the wrong week to quit drinkin'.

So is Gattaca almost here?
