Alien Blackout Trademarked

This WIPO Global Brand Database shows a new trademark registration for a video game called Alien Blackout. No such project has been announced, but DSOGaming notes a recent teaser tweet from Geoff Keighley saying "Worlds Will Change" uses a font similar to the logo for the Weyland Corporation. We don't actually see the resemblance at all, but that doesn't mean they are incorrect in thinking this new Aliens game will be officially unveiled at the Game Awards on December 6th. Here's word on the trademark:
Computer game discs; software, namely, game software, computer game and video game software, downloadable computer game software, downloadable mobile application software used for playing electronic games and streaming audiovisual and multimedia content in the fields of games and entertainment, interactive game software, and downloadable software used for playing electronic games and streaming audiovisual and multimedia content regarding science-fiction, action, adventure, drama, and music; downloadable software featuring entertainment information regarding science-fiction, action, adventure, drama, and music.

Providing on-line computer games; providing electronic games services by means of the internet; entertainment services, namely, providing interactive online computer games utilizing communication networks, including global communication networks.

Nah, let's just go explore all free balling and nekkid.

TLDR
I've rewatched Prometheus several times. It ain't as bad as its made out to be. CinemaScore B whereas Life gets a C+

Interesting that AC also gets a B on CinemaScore. IMO it's a more cohesive film than Prometheus, even if it still has dumb moments.
I'ma gonna hafta disagree.
What's the purpose of having a colony ship that requires a mobile robot (aka android) who's sole purpose is to push a button for routine upkeep. All that shit should be automatic.
Deploy the charging sails ... oops there's a supernova and the sails have to be stowed, but the only thing that can push the retract button is 1000's of feet away. So it should at least run at top android speed
right? but it doesn't, and instead merrily strolls to the button. ah, too late, so sad
even the act of removing bad embryos should have been automated

co·he·sive
characterized by or causing cohesion.
co·he·sion
the action or fact of forming a united whole.

I am going with another form of 'coher' .. incoherent

did i mention that i liked prometheus 27.89% more than ac.

Yup, still deeply flawed, I agree. For example, The way only the space suit guy gets the radio signal is dumb. Also, Michael "perfects" the aliens by making the larval eggs? Maybe it's just me, but spreading via spores seems much better.

Would love an Alien movie with the plot and science as tight as something like Arrival.
RIP RedEye9. We miss you.

If any of you guys are on Youtube, (like I have to ask) check out the channel 'Alien Theory'. It's bad ass and he was just talking about a sequel to Isolation had been announced. Huh? I hear you say. Well, it's a sequel to the story but it's in comic book/graphic novel form. Yeah, I know. You can see more about that here...

Anyway, me thinks this will be a mobile game. I mean, these days 'mobile' games have really started to up their game, so to speak and they aren't the dregs of gaming like they used to be. While not quite up to console, much less PC, standards, if done right they can be interesting and hold their own. But like everyone else, I'm hoping for a sequel to Isolation or maybe even a proper action game like Colonial Marines was >supposed< to be...

Please be a proper Sequel to Isolation, my game of the year 2014. For me the Alien "AI" behaved just perfect, guess I was playing it "right". It was a bit too long (that Android section) with an awesome finale.

If this isn't a sequel to Isolation, then this game can go right to hell. If it's a game set in a modern alien universe, I would be okay with that. Just need a sequel for Isolation more than anything.

Did you play Isolation in VR? Wondering how it was...

No I don't do VR. Pretty expensive and not really into the whole VR thing.

cool, as long as they stay far, far away from the prequels.

just remembered that Disney now owns Alien franchise, we need to get all cross license up in here with Alien vs Iron Man vs Darth Vader.

While I loathe Prometheus, I thought Alien Covenant, while still flawed, wasn't nearly as bad. Whereas in Prometheus both what and how they did things was dumb and illogical, in AC the what they do is smart, and they fall down on the how. It's also gorgeously shot, the CG is seamless, and it helps explain some of the more head-scratching elements of Prometheus.

It would be nice to see a movie where things go to shit in spite of smart people doing everything correctly.
RIP RedEye9. We miss you.

Alien Blackout - is this the name of a story dealing with Ridley Scott's blackout when he created the two Alien prequels?
