Welp, Daylight Saving Time ended in the wee hours of this morning, making today the oddball 25-hour day. I don't know anyone who minds the extra hour of sleep on this one day, but I also don't know a single person who thinks that switching the clocks twice a year is a good idea. There are certainly enough of you who've voiced agreement about this in our forums over the years, and there is always a flood of articles surrounding the occasion to explain how detrimental it is. I guess that's a comment on how hard it is to change established norms in our modern world, as after (exactly!) 100 years this practice seems impossible to reverse in spite of how difficult it is to find someone who thinks it's a good idea or has a positive effect. Anyway, remember to turn back any clocks that don't adjust themselves automatically, and to check the batteries in your smoke detectors.
