Blood Revival Tease? [Oct 30, 2018, 10:40 am ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
Nightdive Studios has a new portrait
on Facebook showing a
single blood trail.
DSOGaming correctly notes that this seems a lot like a small portion of the
logo for Blood, Monolith's old school first-person shooter. There is no
explanation, but this is sparking natural speculation that Blood will be the
next older game to get a re-release through Nightdive. This is not the first
time this prospect has arisen, as former Monolith CEO Jason Hall posted about
the possibilities of a Blood remake around
six years ago.

They do both direct ports and remakes... well they are working on ONE remake after already doing a direct port... and that is System Shock.

About the only thing I liked about Blood 2 was LAN play, for some reason for a while it was a favorite with my old LAN party groups.
How about finishing the fucking System Shock REMAKE (not the enhanced edition) that had to be started over, first?

The second one was not Blood. It was something else. I think that it's a better game than most people claim though. It also looks and plays pretty damn good today for a game of this age. It does have a lot of jank though...
I really don't trust anyone to make a good Blood game. The first one was really the product of the right people at the right place at the right time. Also, a big part of what made it great was the physics and the feel of the gameplay which is really hard to transition into full 3D.

We already have BloodGDX, which runs like a charm. I don't think it needs the Nightdive "bloom" treatment.
I'd be down for a proper remake. But I don't think I have the imagination or the tenacity to wade through a build-engine "remaster".

That was six years ago? Wow. It seems like just a short time ago I remember him asking if anybody would be interested in it.
