Had no idea you had such a bad taste in games.

Most gamers have bad taste in games, the rise of mmo's, steam and online drm was proof positive most gamers are downright fucking moron level stupid.

Interstellar communication but I have to fly around to each station in a system to see where I can get the best price on the stuff I mined? Are you fucking kidding me. They keep going the wrong way in this game. Eliminate the grind and let people spend more time doing stuff they actually enjoy.

Well, you can actually buy trade data for many systems from the galaxy map but it is indeed a bit tedious, of course Wink .

I generally agree with the issue at hand. Your best resource for trade data and lots of other info is websites outside of the game like EDDB.

There are in fact way too many things that still require going on the web to look up like prices, locations, equipment, people (like the engineers), content guides etc. etc. The game fails to provide even basic in-game info on a lot of stuff.

However, some of this might change with the arrival of the codex in the Q4 updates. No one knows yet what info exactly the codex is going to contain/collect but aside from displaying a commander's personal statistics and achievements it will hopefully eliminate at least some of the need for external sites and tools.

What this game really needs is an engine that understands speech so I can dock verbally.

Thanks Cutter.

I was hoping for something built-in and interactive that would improve immersion:

"Marcellus station, this is Viper 257 requesting permission to dock."

"Permission granted, please proceed to dock 43."

It works on voice triggers so you could set your trigger to

"This is Viper 256 requesting permission to dock"

or

"Requesting permission to dock"

and then it automatically sends the key functions to initiate docking with a station.

Yeah, that's pretty cool. Gets me part way there.

It's quite OK though when played in VR. Bind "Engage !" with the FTL drive for instance, and while you're inside your ship see how it never gets old.

I have Voice Attack. It is less than stellar. Not horrible, but not exactly as hyped by ED fans that use it.

Dunno, been doing Boom Time Delivery missions that pay out ~1 mil to ~3.5 mil per run (about 10-15min each run), guess depends on where in the bubble you end up operating.

Ugh, that's kind of what I figured. This game is so ridiculous in so many ways. Got FTL travel but a computer that can calculate where to stop in a system so even if you don't overshoot you still have a metric fuckton of distance to travel to a station. Interstellar communication but I have to fly around to each station in a system to see where I can get the best price on the stuff I mined? Are you fucking kidding me. They keep going the wrong way in this game. Eliminate the grind and let people spend more time doing stuff they actually enjoy.
