Mel Gibson To Helm "Wild Bunch" Remake. I get that we're in the era of
lost creativity remakes and reboots, but there are some movies
that do not need to be remade. Sam Peckinpah westerns are definitely on that
list, and The Wild Bunch should be at the top of it. Of course there's nothing
about remaking a movie that actually harms the original, but Peckinpah's movie
was an amazing reflection of its time, and I'd rather see it just stand alone.

Pretty strong meat from Sam Peckinpah...:D
The making of The Wild Bunch is a movie unto itself. Peckinpah had the crew sleep under the stars, they drank whiskey for breakfast, went into town on the off hours and got into bar room brawls with the locals...try that today, Mel old buddy

Or Ben Hur. Jesus, that remake was a real stinker. I mean if they remade a movie that WON 11 Oscars, they can remake anything right?
I'm waiting for a modern remake of Citizen Kane, where you find out at the end that Rosebud was an ipod nano.
I can't wait for the Citizen Kane remake! I hope they have Kane and Jedediah get in a drunken shakeycam fistfight instead of lamely digging a hole in the floor for a static shot.
