Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Open Beta Begins

The promised open beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is now underway on Battle.net, Blizzard's gaming service. This allows anyone with a free account to check out Activision's upcoming first-person shooter sequel. A post on Reddit has the latest beta patch notes, and this previous post on the topic has the details:
Beta Testing Privileges
All participants in the PC Beta will receive a unique Call of Duty calling card they can display in the game. Players who achieve max rank in the beta will earn a Permanent Unlock Token to apply to any piece of Create-a-Class content when Black Ops 4 comes out.

The beta is also a chance to play side by side with developers of the game and help make Black Ops 4 better. The developers at Treyarch and Beenox will be jumping in to play matches and interact with players throughout the beta. Once the beta ends, participating players will get a survey that encourages honest and candid feedback.

Maps, Modes and Specs
For the Black Ops 4 multiplayer PC Beta, players will battle over six distinct maps—four already seen at previous events, plus two new ones, Gridlock and Hacienda. Players will also get to try a mix of new and returning Specialists and new game play mechanics.

The multiplayer PC beta will include favorite modes such as Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Search & Destroy, alongside the new objective-based game mode, Control. For more information on Black Ops 4 and the content available in the beta head to www.callofduty.com.

They fit in rather well with Blizzard games these days, sadly.

Thanks of the scale setting, that helps.

Seems like, as always, you either play enough games to get a good group of players with you or are going to end up filling up a slot in a losing team.

Blops. Why don't they just call it Blops?
Morty: You sold a gun to a murderer so you could play video games?
Rick: Yeah, sure, I mean, if you spend all day shuffling words around, you can make anything sound bad, Morty.

Check your resolution scaling. With my 1080Ti it had me at 75% which makes it look blurry.

Runs well for me too, but the game looks.. off. Gritty, almost too much so. And the options... so many options (primarily keybindings), it's kind of a mess.

All I really care about, though, is if this new platform will eliminate cheating. Because cheating kills these games on Steam within a few months, as I understand it.

Well it runs at max on my 1080ti with only half vram usage. I run a 7700k cpu. There is no reason why this should be the first one to do so.

Textures, models, and levels look old and clunky as they always have. Motion blur looks paticullary good but who cares. No one ptfo as usual.

The breach class has additional armor, a med syringe, and flashbangs. The only other good thing I have to say about it. That fits my style.

Haven't tried all the MP modes yet, but I doubt you'll find many of them populated a few months after launch anyway.
