Happy birthday QUAKE, as id Software's seminal first-person shooter was first
released 22 years ago today. The fact that most of my junk is in storage right
now means I don't have access to my disks to play this a bit. I thought this
would thwart my plans to celebrate. Then I saw that the Steam
summer sale offered the chance to add the original QUAKE trilogy to my Steam
library for a nominal cost, so that solved that problem. I fooled around with
this and see that it was easy enough to launch GLQUAKE, so I'm going to mess
around with video settings later and kill me a few Strogg.
