That's kind of stupid to remove the recycle bin, because it's easy to hide all desktop icons if you need to for a presentation or whatever: right click the desktop, go to View and uncheck "Show desktop icons." I think that's been there since Windows 95.

I use the recycle bin, but then again I actually use my desktop. I clean it up and put things where they belong when I am working with them, but I just don't get the totally empty desktop thing. It is a tool, use it or not, but don't work to keep to useless.

Am I the only person who never uses the Recycle Bin? If I'm not sure if I want to get rid of something, I don't delete it. Otherwise, it gets a SHIFT+DEL (actually deletes it, bypassing the Recycle Bin).

Just curious if anyone else has the same usage pattern.

I have so many icons on my desktop that finding the recycle bin is the issue.
