MVP really means based on how it is given out..."Most amazing season" (playoff don't count) and if you accept that, it is spot on most of the time. Sure he's the single best player, but he doesn't have the most amazing seasons year in and out. Harden this year, Westbrook year prior, Curry x2, Durant. Those players did have more amazing years than Lebron.
I like Lebron a lot, but the media is really trying to put a ton of I in team right now. He should have golfed or played tennis if being the single best means that much.
