Happy Earth Day! My elementary school principal used to say every day should be
Earth Day, and he was right. But it's not, so here we are. For what it's worth,
it's an exceptionally lovely day in these parts for the occasion. Here's hoping
you got the Earth a tasteful card for the occasion. On a different tack, I'm
very excited about tonight's return of Westworld. Yippee ki-yay!

Yeah, it is often overlooked that the "militarization" of the police force isn't just an equipment issue. It is also a mentality issue. Being a police officer is a tough job. Sometimes it is a shitty job. But too many officers have forgotten, or were never taught, their job is "to protect and serve". It is a complex problem which won't be completely resolved any time soon.
If Russia stops fighting, the war ends. If Ukraine stops fighting, Ukraine ends. Slava Ukraini!
