Razer sold me a mouse. It was defective with a well-documented manufacturing flaw. I returned it, on my dime, for a replacement. They sent me another mouse with the exact same issue. I returned it. They sent me a third mouse with a completely different known defect. I returned it. They accused me of being a scammer and a thief, and sent me a 'last' mouse, even though it was still under the warranty period of the first one.

The final mouse also had the same issue as the first one and started failing within a couple of months (the issue was a switch that was so weak that it was registering single clicks as double clicks, and wouldn't register a held down mouse button at all.)

Four defective product in a row and an accusation.

There is zero chance that I will ever buy any product from Razer again.

My Deathadder 2013 is still going strong 4 years on. It's comfy, accurate, and the thumb grips haven't shown signs of wearing out yet. I'm quite pleased it's been issue-free. Judging by the Razer subreddit, there's no end to issues with their laptops.

Not sure why four years is anything to bring up in a discussion on hardware quality, unless your point is that the performance hasn't been terrible so far.

I buy razer stuff because my personal experience has been that they are fantastic. Never bought a laptop from them though, no idea about that. Everything I have bought has been peripheral stuff like keyboards and mice. 2 keyboards and four mice I think. I kill mice like a barn owl and the razer mice have been able to hold up pretty well.
