Overpriced garbage is what this is.
Overpriced, absolutely. Garbage, stop being a salty fart. Between VIVE and Rift, I've only heard great things about VIVE.

I'd say that for me Arizona Sunshine is the closest VR has had so far to a killer app. It is pretty awesome actually. As to good seated VR experiences, I'd add Everspace to the mix. I have to turn on cockpit mode to avoid the nausea I get after playing for 10 or 15 minutes but it's pretty great. I'd love to see the upcoming Mechwarrior 5 with a VR mode. That has been a fantasy of mine from the day i first played Mechwarrior in the 90's.

The UK Price for the Vive pro is the same as the US price! Total rip off.
799USD = 569GBP, even allowing for 20% VAT that's only £683 ($960) NOT £799 ($1,123)
Or do they expect us to believe postage is $163 (£116) per unit?

4.6 megapixel vs 3.5 megapixel, and better sound for what, twice the current price of the non pro once you add in all the extras needed?
And no, I'm not looking to pay monthly for anything.
Doesn't sound like an amazing thing
VR sounds cool, but not for $800 before tax, plus cost of upgrades to rig. And also, subscriptions services... uh, no thanks...
You can get in WAY cheaper than $800. This is an absurd price point for just the headset, but it’s because HTC can’t afford to sell their hardware at or below cost like Facebook can. Can’t imagine there will be a ton of takers on this, aside from VaRcades.

Now waiting on 3rd generation.
This. And games. So far nobody has made a VR game that I HAVE to play.

Yeah, I was just looking around at GPUs, and holy crap, the prices are ridiculous. Guess I keep waiting.
