Play any military shooter and it becomes obvious within seconds how utterly brainwashed into supporting the never ending regime change in the middle east foreign policy most players are.
Meh, military shooters go to where the historical action has been. Over the past 30 years, that's been the Middle East. Before that it was Vietnam, and there are a bunch of shooters from that era. Before that, WW2. Etc. And that goes for tactical and strategic games as well. Total War, Crusader Kings, Hearts of Iron, etc. Just because people play them, doesn't mean they're supportive of the political ends those older civilizations were trying to achieve. It's just fun to put yourself in the shoes of people from that time period.
