James Harden Outs Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII?

A tweet from NBA on ESPN has a shot of Houston Rockets guard James Harden arriving at the arena last night (presumably early, after learning he was to be guarded all night by Carmelo Anthony). It's hard to notice anything else in a photo of Harden besides his glorious beard, but Kotaku notes the remedial Roman numeral on his hat IIII looks suspiciously like Black Ops typography. It is certainly similar, but by no means a slam-dunk. This plays into recent rumors about plans for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, err, IV, err IIII. They say Activision did not respond to a request for comment, but in an update posted after their original report Kotaku says they've confirmed this is the logo for Black Ops IIII, vaguely attributing this to "one source."

Haha, made me think of this:

In ancient Rome, those people who wrote 4 as IIII were sent to the circus for public entertainment to walk into the arena and count the hungry lions.

Rarely they made it to count more than I. Oh, wait, more than 1. Sorry for that misleading figure.

They're waiting for you, Gabe, in the test chamber!

I know, right? It should be "Call of Duty: Black Ops IIIIIIX"

*confirmed* 4 times the amount of twerking jetpacks & space hilarity that we've all come to expect ( and hate )..

IIII x times the amount of hackers also.
IIII x times the amount of idiots that will preorder this.
IIII x times the lootboxes ????

...this shit writes itself.

If it is true, that's not "being outed," that's intentional viral marketing. Someone gave him that hat and most likely paid him to wear it. Obviously you don't do that if you're trying to keep the product branded on the hat a secret.

Wouldn't be the first title that went for broken roman numerals because it "looked cooler" on the front of the box.... as if anyone still bought game boxes

It can only mean that Valve is skipping Half Life 3 and going directly to HL4.

There's a fool-proof way to tell if something a conservative/right-wing/Republican said is true or not. If they call it "fake news", you can be sure it's the solid truth.

Let me guess, it will be the "24" of Call of Duty, perhaps they will recast Kiefer Sutherland as well.
