Guns are to blame. This doesn't happen where there are no guns. The US has the 11th highest casualty rate by firearms. It's us and third world nations.

If people only had knives, they wouldn't be any less inclined to violence, they'd just be less capable of mass violence. People are still violent in Europe, but there are no mass shootings. Not often, at least.

That should be our inspiration. Prevent the guns designed for that purpose making it out to civilians. Hunting rifles, pistols, no big deal. Rifles designed to kill many quickly? Why is this still a question?

Video games aren't to blame (~every male under the age of ~30/35 grew up playing shooter games, and we are at historic lows for criminal shooting rates)

Neither are guns (No one ever picked up a gun an was suddenly compelled by 'a hypnotic force emanating from the gun' to go kill people)

This is just like when the Nader crowd blamed traffic accidents on sports cars.

If someone does sick shit, it's because that person is an asshole... or he was the victim of assholes and was filled with hate.

The real issue is that culturally, we breed assholes.

-scheherazade

But all of our peer nations have just as many assholes, but no mass shootings. Surely there's *some* element missing there...

I don't think you appreciate how much less respect there is in the U.S. for other people and human life in general.

Case in point : Know those videos from Russia where it's an armed robbery and no one looks concerned? That's because the idea of an armed robber actually shooting someone is so unbelievable that nobody takes them seriously.

All those other peer nations don't have the 2nd Amendment.

Listen if they are going to die by "Guns don't kill people" then how can you say the bullet that came from a real gun was sent by a video game. If the gun ain't guilty, no logical way you can just to the video game.

Logic has nothing to do with it, and is their true enemy. The only goal this bag-of-dicks has is to deflect attention away from guns. It's not even about video games, that was just the excuse the GOP's wheel-o-bullshit landed on this time.

They don't. They are only supported by other unintelligent clowns. Unfortunately, the US has a large enough population of unintelligent clowns to make you question reality itself.

"These are quote-unquote video games, and they're forced down our throats under the guise of protected speech," Conway continued

He had to play GTA-V, IT WAS THE LAW!!! I remember that time I stopped playing video games cause I wanted to do some other stuff, and then the SWAT kicked down my door and forced me, at gun point, to play Call of Duty for 12 hours straight. I wish they'd picked a better game.

It should also be no surprise Conway goes on the blame porn for all the rest of society's ills.

You know exactly why. Stupid, uninformed and reckless voters, who dont give a shit about anything happening beyond their intellectual horizon with the radius of their own nose tip.

Good 'ol GOP and their red herrings. Not a single study has found a link between long term violent behavior and video games or other violent media. In addition, there are billions of people who play video games now. Why do we not have millions of murders/rampages on a daily basis? What response could this politician possibly have to these two statements of fact and reason? How can any intelligent person support these clowns?

Video games, not guns, to blame for school shooting, says Kentucky gov.

Yes! Totally agree! Video games!!1 I mean, he bludgeoned 17 people to death with a RROD Xbox 360, so how could guns be to blame at all?

The fact that the young Mr. Cruz was a withdrawn loner with poor social skills and belonged to a white supremacist group are purely incidental.
