ESA Rebukes President Trump

The Entertainment Software Association has stepped into the fray with President Trump after his widely reported comments about immigration where the POTUS allegedly decried those who emigrate from "shithole" countries. Polygon has the following response from the ESA:
"America’s greatness is built on our diversity," reads the ESA’s statement. "The president’s repulsive comments undermine the fundamental values of who we are as a country. There is no place in our society for this type of backward thinking, and we condemn it in the strongest terms."

Sure, but that was a very different time for the country and world. We're switching from manufacturing to mentafacturing and losing jobs every day, we're not the country that desperately needs immigrants that we were when you're talking about. Also we let in 1,000,000 a year legally, more than any other country last time I checked, so again it's about limited resources and not just moving every poor soul into the U.S.

I'm generally a left-leaning centrist and I love America being a melting pot, I really do. However these "no borders!" arguments are really just not effective. We can't solve poverty by just moving everyone to a nicer country and calling it a day.

I don't think anyone is calling for "no border."
Though many, myself included, are calling for an easier process, for the same reason we call for legalizing marijuana. We're spending a fortune on combating something very inefficiently, we're hurting good people while making it easy for bad people to skirt the law, and throwing more money at the problem seems incredibly unlikely to do much more than waste a lot of money.

Also I like the Norway thing. Norway is like one of the best countries to live in. They would need massive incentive to go to give that up and go to the US. So Trump might tout that idea as getting better people. But the better people know better then to immigrate to the US already.
What's funnier is Trump and his supporters will cite this country as an example, even though it's one of the most socialist countries in Europe (with a very comprehensive nanny-state). And they enjoy one of the highest standards of living on Earth, i highly doubt any of them would want to emigrate to a shithole like the USA. Oh, how do you Trump supporters feel being called a shithole ?

Trump said "Norway" because he likes banging blonde chicks. It's that simple.

The fact that conservatives stooped so low to support him is what's sad for America.

Not really, Trump basically stole the nomination and bulled his way into the presidency. The Conservative establishment fought him every step of the way until it was too late to do anything. Trump essentially hijacked the Republican party and made utter fools of the Dems as well.

The ESA rebuking anyone is pretty amusing stuff though. The industry's shill service that defends gambling sold to minors is upset on moral grounds hahaha.

The ESA is doing the politically expedient thing: the software industry is as international and multicultural as any industry can get.

The whole world has given up on the dotus? LoL. Your comments have no basis in reality do they? Half of America voted for Donald Trump because they're smart enough to realize that people coming here to sponge off the system will only weigh it down more. You do understand that when more people are sponging off the welfare system than the amount of people supporting it, that it will eventually collapse? That's just common sense for Gods sake.

If everyone is consuming and no one is producing, eventually there will be nothing left to consume. Please correct me where I am wrong.

There is so much wrong here it's hard to know where to begin.

1. Being pro immigration doesn't mean you're pro "let everyone in"

2. I work with a ton of immigrants, including a guy from Haiti and a guy from Ghana, ostensibly "shithole" nations. Most of them make more than I do.

3. Your contention that immigrants come to the US illegally to suck at the welfare teat is completely wrong. First, they come here to work, usually jobs that Americans won't do. If you want to stop illegal immigration, crack down on companies. Second, illegals don't apply for or qualify for welfare.

I didn't see that, either. I don't watch news, and I never actually read the "Fake News Awards" articles, as the headlines told you all you needed to know (given that it was sourced solely from a tweet.)

I saw you post mocking him for missing his own deadline the other day, googled it to see if you were right about the deadline, and saw he had almost immediately moved it.

How about that time when CNN reported that Trump didn't stand a chance at being President.
