"America’s greatness is built on our diversity," reads the ESA’s statement. "The president’s repulsive comments undermine the fundamental values of who we are as a country. There is no place in our society for this type of backward thinking, and we condemn it in the strongest terms."

Honestly sick of the whole, "diversity is fantastic!" nonsense that gets inculcated into the skulls of children by liberal teachers. No, not all cultures are equal. No, the U.S. is not a playground for refugees from around the world. No, I don't care what Polygon or the ESA has to say about immigration.
Trump's statement was stupid but I don't need to get lectured by media pundits who have been brainwashed since birth to ironically be intolerant towards different beliefs when it suits their agenda. I'll go further and quite honestly say having to read political garbage on this site has made me move FAR away from using it like I used to and while the ESA qualifies as gaming-oriented in this case, I have to question the intelligence of many of the regulars here when they spout off about Trump like they are somehow enlightened when it's the same bullshit every time. Get over yourselves.

Also..
America is not built on "diversity" that is a modern bunch of garbage leftists created to undermine the country like morons.
America is built on individuality and the freedom to be who and what you want to be based on your drive and tenacity. The diversity these leftist POS's throw around doesn't even mean close to the same thing.
another thing...
We should be working to import the best and the brightest even from a shithole country. not the lowest common denominator in order to line the voting tallies of the socialist democraps.

Well, my first thought when wake in the morning is, “What is the ESA President’s on Trump’s latest tweet or comment?”
If ESA wants to speaks publicly about something, at least be intellectually honest, instead issuing feel-good platitudes. It’s a complete waste, like the #metoo campaign.
shinchan0s wrote on Jan 12, 2018, 11:48:THANK YOU! This and what Xero said are basically the points people are trying make against what Trump said.
Nobody would really deny that they're "shithole" countries. My problem with Trump saying it?
1) These words came the POTUS during an official meeting with lawmakers (it's just basic human decency and tact, but I guess you guys set the bar so low for Trump...)
2) The implication that people from failed states aren't worth immigrating, it really shouldn't matter where you come from. People from one race or country are not "inherently" lazy or stupid. Back in the 1800s, Germans were seen as dull. Before WW2, Japanese were seen as lazy.
3) It was reported that Trump instead suggested we open more immigration to Norway. I shouldn't have to spell out what was implied - whether Trump meant it or not. It SOUNDS bad.

where were the Washington post, cnn, msnbc headlines when leading democrat Harry Reid was talking about how He wanted the common people out of congress and other sites because they "smelled".
If he said this on camera what are these people saying to each other off camera.

How many things did Obama say in the last 8 years behind the scenes that could have been reported and were not?

Then lets let all these bleeding hearts move to Haiti and tell us how great it is. Trump called Haiti a shithole, that's no different than calling Detroit a shithole.
Man, the media sure is twisting the weak minds of the populace.
It's the racial subtext of Trump's comment that's the problem, so it's completely different. Besides, that's not really something the US president should be calling places in the US either, is it?

A real president should not have sayed "shithole countries", but this is Trump, not a president!
Also: Those countries obviously DO have problems - or why would so many try to flee the country?
So while there is some truth to what Trump said, it is mostly nowadays not what but HOW you say it. And Donnie is a dumb sledgehammer, where a clever scalpel would achieve easily much more than Donnie does.
He is a president and he is AWESOME because he doest do lying bullshit non stop like nearly all the past presidents.
The problem is he is stuck in a world of lying bullshit and morons who love lying bullshit.
