New NVIDIA GeForce Drivers

The GeForce website now offers new WHQL-certified version 388.71 GeForce drivers for NVIDIA graphics cards running under Windows. NVIDIA says this is their final game ready driver of 2017, as it is optimized for PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS, which is set to hit version 1.0 at midnight. They offer a discussion of how the battle royale game runs on their hardware, looking at the settings and features that provide the best experience. The full release notes explain everything further.

Er... I have a 970 and an FX 6300 and I get at minimum 60 FPS since the last several patches (often closer to 75 average, even in the biggest towns, capping at 100ish). On both maps. 1080p, 100% screen scale (120 makes no difference though). So don't need a 1060...

Maybe if you had worse than a 9 series? Definitely could see needing a 10 series if you go beyond 1080p though.

Personally got maybe 5 FPS out of these drivers, YMMV. Ran well before them.
