It could be because I only play terrorist hunt, but the game seems more buggy than it was a year ago. Every update seems to break something that never gets fixed. It got to the point where my friends got pissed at the game and refuse to play. "Operation health" is pretty ironic. Largely to do with their update schedule...you see this with other games that try to maintain a fast pace with changes. It can be frustrating. I will say that they are starting to take PVE more seriously (hence Outbreak) so hopefully more effort will be spent on bugs than pure PVP balance. |

They all have different weapon choices and they each have one or two unique gadgets that can change the game completely. If you're extremely competitive, it's important to pay mind to which operator you choose, but at the same time, all operators are good enough and you're guaranteed to have great ones without spending any time or money on the game. Also, you don't need to get this season pass. You can unlock all operators for free by playing the game. Yar, I mean Thatcher is bog-standard and yet he's still my favorite operator. I just like having more versatility by having all of the operators mastered but at least at lower levels of play you're not going to be at all pigeonholed into a specific operator let alone a DLC one. Not that it matters, it's simple to unlock all the base operators and saving up for one or two DLC favs is also not too bad. (last time I tallied my score from a session it came out to ~22 hours w/o any bonuses to unlock a 25K) |

What makes them so special that any the others cant do?
I recall playing this on a free weekend, and I really didn't care for the feel of the game, the weapons felt odd and very over sized from what I remember. It just didn't feel like the old Rainbow Siege games like Vegas and past games. Wow...well I can't say much about that last part except to state that this game has the best gunplay of any I've ever played. I mean, yes, it doesn't have the simulation feel of something like Arma 3, but in terms of arcade-style shooting it's about as close to perfection as you can get. I'll temper that by saying the shotguns and pistols were/are a bit off but they regularly do passes on those. But, yeah, if you're comparing it to past Rainbow Six games (or at least the pre-Vegas ones), then the gunplay will feel off.
All the operators are different and sometimes in subtle ways (hitboxes) and generally have different weapons of course (except ones from the same country pair in some cases). They each have a unique ability that varies from simple (Buck's Skeleton Key) to more complex (Zofia's launcher) although honestly the interplay between abilities is a large part of the game's appeal and meta. To put it simply, characters have certain play styles and counters and it depends on the team...honestly this game is a bit of a "hero" type game in that regard. I hate to compare it to Overwatch but, you know, combine Rainbow Six with the "hero" concept and yeah, lol. |

If this was Star Wars Battlefront, people would be up in arms about Year 3 Season Passes. You have to buy a season pass every year for this game that you've already bought once, and paid for DLC the previous 2 years. Crazy what people decide to complain about. I just got my Battlefront DLC for free today thank you very much. Loot crates, which I've never spent a penny on, are annoying but not game breaking. |
