Out of the Blue

Update: Noticed after I posted this that today is Human Rights Day, and that I failed to wish a happy 24th birthday(!) to the original DOOM, both of which seem slightly more noteworthy than more of my ramblings about football.

As a Giants fan I'm not used to midseason regime changes, but in spite of the team's aversion to such disruptions, this week seems an endorsement of them. There is a genuine sense of optimism from the team and its fans today that is hard to explain otherwise. There is always intensity to playing a rival like the Cowboys, but the passion surrounding discussion of today's matchup is still completely crazy for a team with a 2-10 record, where everyone is worked up because the team is being led this week by a head coach with a career 10-38 record. I talk like this is all on other fans, but I'm as guilty of being hyped as anyone, so I guess it just shows how much emotion some of us invest in this game.

Eli was 31 for 46, not a bad game at all considering what he has to work with both on his offensive line and WR core.
Playing: Ni No Kuni 2, Persona 5, Vermintide 2
Watching: Annihilation, The Quiet Place, A Dark Song

SUCK IT, GIANTS FANS! Suck it long, suck it hard.

Also, Jerry Jones is a douchecanoe.

Can we clone Emmitt Smith and bring him back? Not just because of his skills but also because of his awesome HEB commercials.

Haha! Yeah, so much for the vaunted Eli, LOL!

Stay classy guys.

Forget Emmit, bring back Earl Campbell. Yeah I know he played for Houston but I loved his Skoal commercial...Skoal, brother!

How about for the 25th anniversary of Doom next year there's an expansion pack release for the 2016 version.
Fu*K all lighting...dark & dirty, a claustrophobic grungy tip of the hat.

Folks are absolutely digging the new Star Wars movie.

This is exactly what I was hoping with Rian Johnson's involvement.

I have a new hope.

(see what I did there?)

Ah, human rights. Almost the whole wide world signed the declaration of human rights, and almost the whole wide world ignores these rights after realising that they would mean the collapse of the world as we know it (which would be a good or bad thing depending on your point of view).

Could you explain further? I'm not making the connection between upholding human rights and total societal collapse.

iT'S amERIcA's team, or is that the Atlanta Braves?

Speaking of the Atlanta Braves, is there a big brouhaha over their name like there is with the Redskins?

Enough human rights bullshit already. What's needed is some goddamned human responsibility.
