It's true that he shouldn't have claimed that it was indicative of actual events in Britain, but people are not upset about that, they're upset about the videos, of which only one didn't actually show what it claimed to. Regardless of that, these videos themselves do not contain "lies or mischaracterizations" - they are just that, videos of actual events that happened.

I feel those events are taken out of context, as if I could take the murder of Jo Cox and use that to paint everyone who was pro-Brexit as a violent killer, or white people, or gun owners.

"even the most pro-gun control liberals don't suggest that every gun owner is a violent murderer."
And yet, not even Trump did that, so I think this statement is irrelevant.
I didn't think I had to explain this, but Trump and you seem to be saying that all Muslims are violent, that the religion is irredeemable and anyone who follows it should be immediately categorized as such.

Also, the myth of the radical Muslim minority is just that, a myth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7TAAw3oQvg
A majority of muslims throughout the world support forms of radical acts, pretending like it's not a problem isn't going to make it go away.

I'm not going to watch a video. Videos are for 9/11 and moon landing conspiracies. People use videos to fucking lie. But in general -- I believe that extremism takes root easily in conditions of poverty and poor social mobility. People with little to lose take well to hating a convenient enemy. And the Mideast generally isn't doing well in this regard. So there, and in countries where Muslims are living in ghettos, then yes, I could believe that there's a widespread sympathy for us-vs-them extremism. Just like the Buddhists in Myanmar, the Hindus in India, and the Serbs in Bosnia. The Muslims I've known personally are middle class, and they've spoken against terrorist groups, especially since so much of the violence they perpetrate is against other Muslims.

I don't really feel like most people take their religion's teachings to heart. It's just a different kind of sports team, no matter whether your religion tells you to love your neighbor or to free yourself from worldly desires. If the people in the Mideast believed in Christianity instead of Islam we would still have people drumming up hate against them because it was the wrong kind of Christianity, and a lot of them would still hate us ostensibly for the same reason. Ayatollah Khomeini turned Iran into a theocratic hell on earth, but I don't think the same would have been impossible under Orthodox Judaism or Puritanical Christianity.

Ben Shapiro is wrong, and trying to manipulate you. You're falling for it.

Do you know any Muslims? Have you spent any time at all in a Muslim country, other than as a military presence?

I doubt it.

But the hate speech part of it is this -- even the most pro-gun control liberals don't suggest that every gun owner is a violent murderer. They don't respond to mass shootings in the news with, "Oh, sure, there are good gun owners out there." Using a video of an extremist to say the entire religion is evil is as stupid as if you broadened the generalization to say that all religion is evil, or if aliens from Alpha Centauri used it to conclude that all humans were evil, or carbon-based life.

If the religion were as vile as all that, people wouldn't be cherry-picking videos from political riots and straight up making things up, there'd be actual videos taken at home of the Muslim next door running amok, of preachers in the US advocating violence and oppression.

I do think facts are important, and it's a shame that he didn't check his facts before posting those videos (not surprised he didn't though.

Jalopnik helps cops finds hit & run and getaway criminals on a weekly basis, just based off of shitty blurry pictures of half a car, or a smashed tail light.

It's in those instances where the Internet is really fucking awesome.

LOL! Yeah, the libtards are at it again. Anything that goes against their wickedness/political-correctness is "hate" yet they are the ones spreading the most true hate of all.

I'm positive, if you put yourself into either corner, you'd think terrible things about the other end. This is totally a two way street, with plenty of hate on both ends. We can't let either end fuck it all up, the ends are the problem.

I know, but that's a fact and I'm guessing that to people like that, facts are just elitist opinions. Instead, I went with what I think is the underlying logic error.

Exactly. Trump doesn't care about facts, only about furthering his political agenda. It's concerning that anyone would take anything that Trump says at face value when he has proven himself time and time again to be a liar.

It's confirmation bias. People aren't interest in context or truthfulness, they just see something that supports their world view and therefore assume it to be true. As for religion, I would argue that any irrational belief is concerning, regardless of whether it is used to advocate violence or peace.

Wouldnt have been an issue if she would have picked up her trail of poop.

I love how the report went for the "think of the children!" angle. I've taken dumps in people's yards when I couldn't hold it in before, same with taking a piss behind a bush or something. Not really that big a deal IMO, but she could have chosen a better spot than right at the end of that person's driveway, lol!

At first I thought it must have been malicious, 'cause if you're shitting *on* someone's driveway, that's a deliberate "fuck you!" However, the surveillance video shows her hiding behind the van's door while dropping it on the edge of the street, almost in the gutter, not the driveway...

My friend and I were once driving down the highway when he got a severe case of diarrhea. As in pull off to the side of the road with the door held open and a sprint kind of severe. There did happen to be a convenience store there. He didn't have time to look for a bathroom so just went into the first door he found, which was apparently the janitor's closet which had been left unlocked. However, he was unable to turn on the lights for reasons unclear, so he simply turned around and dropped his pants and proceeded to go all over the room. Then we left.

While I'm glad that wasn't caught on camera, I've always been curious about the reaction of the janitor when he came back and flipped on the lights.

She didn't seem too concerned about hiding her identity, just being the slightest bit modest with a public twosie. So I dunno, just a shameless weirdo too busy or inattentive to make it to a gas station or McDonald's that didn't want to poop their pants. I bet them internet detectives have already figured out who she is and contacted her employer, though.

Why do you think Twitter isn't commenting about those supposed tweets? I don't know what you're thinking but it appears that you think white males are discriminated against because they're not being discriminated against as much.

Has there ever actually been any indication that Twitter treats tweets advocating violence against white and/or male people differently to other violent tweets?
