Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus DLC Roadmap

Bethesda.net offers a post-launch roadmap for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, outlining when to expect the DLC for the shooter sequel. The DLC will be sold individually, or as part of a season pass. Here are the details:
BJ Blazkowicz might be a nigh-unstoppable Nazi-killing machine, but it takes more than one man to make a revolution. That’s where The Freedom Chronicles comes in. Starring three different heroes, this multipart DLC will give players a chance make America Nazi-free again – but from a trio of fresh perspectives. Available as individual DLC packs or all together in the Season Pass, The Freedom Chronicles includes:

Episode Zero

Included with pre-order or Season Pass. Available now.
Episode Zero introduces you to Joseph Stallion, Jessica Valiant and Gerald Wilkins as they fight for freedom in the American Territories. Blast your way through Nazis using unique abilities and an arsenal of guns in this opening DLC mission.

The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe
December 14
As former professional quarterback Joseph Stallion, smash through Nazi hordes from the ruins of Chicago to the vastness of space!

The Diaries of Agent Silent Death
January 30
As ex-OSS agent and assassin Jessica Valiant, infiltrate Nazi bunkers in California and discover the secrets of Operation San Andreas!

The Amazing Deeds of Captain Wilkins
March 2018
As the US Army’s renowned hero Captain Gerald Wilkins, embark on a mission to Nazi-controlled Alaska to dismantle Operation Black Sun!

So sometime mid next year we can hope for the complete game finally, and at a price more reasonable, eh? I really wish publishers would stop forcing devs to do this shit. They're butchering what could be masterpieces by piecemealing them out in order to gain more profits. Fucking retarded. I'm about to stop buying all games altogether while they're new. Except for CDPR games, probably. They're about all that's left.

^ 999% agree with the exception that I stopped buying new games several years ago already. It's as simple as GOTY or GTFO. They can piss off with their piecemeal garbage deliveries. Fuck that shit.

I'm forced to pirate Wolfenstein II for the uncensored version and will wait to do so until post-March. You can't even steal a game on release anymore. Pathetic!

This stuff is almost always bolt-ons out of the original scope, so not having it isn't missing the complete game, it's lacking extraneous stuff that often adds nothing.

That's mostly it, yeah. I was excited when I first saw they had a war table with mission locations you can choose to travel to, thinking they actually might have been pulling out a new and interesting gameplay mode, but it's just another form of their "hey, you should go back and replay that campaign level" stuff. I wasn't interested in doing that in the other games, either, and the worst part is they make you unlock the privilege by collecting those enigma cards. So even if you do decide you wanna kill all the uber-commanders, you're probably not going to have enough of that currency to do so without going back and farming it during real campaign missions.

I dunno, I guess I was hoping there'd be an actual revolution in this game. Or that we'd get to see more of what the Nazis did to the country, at least, like when you go to that small town and see the oppression first hand. The absolute WORST part of the whole thing is when (spoilers, I guess, kinda?) after you finish the story, all of the main companion characters disappear from your home base. You're told they're leading the ground troops all around the country, fighting to win the country back, yet you're stuck on this stupid submarine running whatever game-time filler errands you have left. They had an opportunity to out-do something like that Homefront sequel (a really underrated game, IMO), and my only hope is that's what they're holding back for another sequel. It better not be that these DLC side-stories are all they do with the climax of this whole goddamn series reboot.

Hmm, I didn't get a feeling that its short so far. Although it may be taking me way longer to complete on the hardest difficulty I have available at the moment since its easier to sneak around and avoid heavy combat on that difficulty (when a level allows for it). Steam says I completed New Order in 12 hrs, and Old Blood in 5 hrs, so far I have 13 with Colossus and have not completed the main story yet. It seems they added padding perhaps to make it seem longer, like with assassinating Uber Commanders on recycled levels.

My only major gripe: still not being able to skip in-game cut-scenes like in previous games. Made a second playthrough more frustrating than it needed to be. Easiest example, of many, (very minor spoiler): beginning of the game, BJ and his parents.

Otherwise, excellent game. Kudos.

I really like the game, but it's so damn short compared to The New Order. A lot less variety in weapons and gameplay scenarios, too, and the ending was so abrupt it seems they either ran out of time/money or hacked the project into halves so that they can get out another sequel ASAP... I'm mostly okay with it, having spent only ~$35 on a copy from Best Buy with some rewards certificates, but I would be pretty miffed if I'd paid full price on top of seeing them peddling DLC right away.

I bought the collector version of this, too bad the season pass didn't come with it for the price tag - oh well.

Been playing it on the second hardest difficulty and man the Court Room level alone will completely test your skills to the max, must have died at least 50 times. Overall this, this game is a blast. I love how absurd it all is, Nazi's in SPaaaaace!

If the fps mayhem, level design, and cutscenes are just as good as the main games, I'll probably get this expansion stuff at some point.

They could pretty much follow this game up for a while, I mean the Naaazi's have conquered the damn Solar System lol. They could use any plot point and make it work, Nazi's discover a worm hole and escape to another planet or dimension, lol. The imagination is the limit.
