Attempting to sit on a teenagers chest, pinning their arms under your legs and forcing them to use physical force to escape is considered a sexual assault by most people, RedEye9. SJW ha ha ha!

so many SJWs living in their neat little make belief bubble. Somehow alot of them skipped their teenage years, had no adult pinups, and now believe that if you're under 18, you have no right to any intimacy with anyone 18 and above.

anyhow ,where can i apply for my multi Million dollar payout ? that would come in handy for my..um therapy sessions.

Dude, in the context of the discussion, this is a poor response.

First of all, wow are you an idiot? "Point at the doll where the bad man touched you" in the context of attempted rape of a minor, stay classy. Second, give me a break. You've spent the past month forum stalking me, trying to troll me with unrelated political and social links. But when you make a blatantly hypocritical and frankly disgusting statement that directly contradicts something you said previously, I'm supposed to just ignore it and let you save face? But even then I gave you an out to do the right thing in my last post and instead you made a childish trolling attempt.

I thought you were a legitimate poster, not an immature troll. Apparently I was wrong.

I think Keyser Söze's apology and the fact that he got outed are no reason to cancel the show. But netflix has more shows waiting in the wings.

According to an editor of The Hollywood Reporter, the decision was apparently made months ago to cancel after this next season. So while I'm sure Spacey's misconduct coming to light prompted the announcement coming when it did, it probably didn't have anything to do with the underlying decision.

The series has kind of run its course anyway. They've done just about everything.

No doubt. This isn't a Weinstein situation where a dozen people come out overnight. This was one person, over a weekend. It takes a whole lot to get Hollywood to move that quickly over a weekend, and this wasn't enough to mobilize them to decide to cancel a hit show and lay off hundreds of people.

Which isn't to say this wasn't enough to cancel the show, just not that quickly. First there'd be discussions about whether they can just kill the character off, about whether they can spin it off (they apparently are), about what can be salvaged, probably at least a day of waiting it out to see the reaction, etc.

Even with Weinstein, nothing moved quite this quickly. And yeah, it's easier to move quickly in the immediate aftermath, but Weinstein was many accusations at once. This is one. One wouldn't be enough to move the mountain of cancelation that rapidly.

But probably would still be enough to get it canceled after a 6 season run. Viewership relative to expenses would be declining, anyway, and something like this makes that happen more quickly. I certainly am far less inclined to watch it now than I was on Thursday.

Yeah no you're not running away from this by burying it.

Uh that's kind of disgusting. So if Harvey Weinstein apologized, that makes it ok and he can go back to his company and keep making money? Fuck no. Spacey is essentially apologizing for trying to force himself on a 14 year old. That's attempted rape of a minor. I have no idea how you reconcile that double standard. Anyway the star of your show is caught up in something like this is plenty reason to cancel a show, they get cancelled for less all the time.

Forget about how you feel about my username or political opinions and ask yourself this: if it was a man forcing himself on a 14 year old girl, would you still think an apology was OK and that the show could go on?

You and I might butt heads on politics from time to time but I really did not see you coming down on the wrong side of this. I hope you reconsider your statement.

I heard the most recent season wasn't very good (I'm still on S2). So maybe this is just the straw that broke the coal mine.

On the other hand, we won't be getting any stories about how Spacey grabbed Robin Wright's breasts or forced Kate Mara to give him a BJ.
I guess there is an upside to every story.

You're correct, the show was scheduled to be canceled before this came out. Since I have only seen a couple of episodes I won't miss it.
Looks like Netflix is considering a House of Cards spinoff. Can't wait for the Kevin Spacey walk-on.

I don't know how to take his coming out. It was the worst kept secret in Hollywood, hes been spotted with women and men in romantic situations over the years, very obvious he is bi-sexual.

The whole I choose to live life as a gay man thing felt like convenient timing, almost reads like he wants cover from the gay community to help shield him from the accusations.

He tried to force himself on a teenager. The fact that it happened to be a male should not mean people take it any less seriously. I hope the #MeToo movement shows Anthony Rapp the same support and the gay community rejects Spaceys obvious ploy that seeks to soften the damage to his credibility. It's good to see Netflix is taking it seriously, although the show was scheduled to be cancelled anyway. I'm shocked it went on this long, the original british one was 3 smaller seasons and felt totally played out by that time.
