I'm tempted to pull the trigger and buy it but don't really want to deal with a toxic playerbase.

I've played Day of Infamy, the playerbase has less toxicity than in almost any other game in this genre. If that's your concern, you're fine with buying it.

It is fantastic!

Why against bots, though? That game has been on my wishlist for a while now. I'm tempted to pull the trigger and buy it but don't really want to deal with a toxic playerbase.
I have played only a few MP games and the player base wasn't toxic at all. Maybe I was just lucky not sure.
The game is much slower pace than CoD or BF so I don't think you'll find too many kids playing it.
I personally prefer playing with bots, but the MP part of the game is pretty good imho
There's MP coop where you play against bots. Maybe that's what the original poster meant.

Hrm, nothing on a really good sale yet, from my Wishlist.

I miss the flash sales...you can already write off a given Steam sale the first hour, basically, and/or get a few things you wanted and be done.

This is exactly what I feel, for both your comments. A bit disappointed.

you need to buy a lot of real garbage.

Indeed... Steam says I have 566... And I stopped adding keys for all my purchases a year or two ago... I have 85 unclaimed keys on Humble, for example... And when I was subbed to the Bundle Stars and Indie Gala spam, I would occasionally buy one of those for a single game, and just leave the rest alone...

Though, on the other hand, it'd be cool to have over 1k heh... But it becomes so unwieldy to manage... I mostly keep my list on 'Installed', which is actually about 50 games right now... Most of which have gotten a few minutes at least : )

Bought 3 more in this sale too... Aquaria, Strikey Sisters, and Tricky Towers... The latter two to play some local Coop/MP with my daughter : )

These sales started to lose their luster once I hit about 500 games in my library. You have most everything worth buying at that point. Some people have upwards of 1000 games, but to do that you need to buy a lot of real garbage.

Some sales will go by without me spending even a dollar.

That said, that's hardly a bad thing. Probably 90% of my library was acquired at some reasonably big discount.

I keep warning you. Doors and corners, kid. That's where they get you. Humans are too fucking stupid to listen.

Vanishing of Ethan Carter is 80% off, good buy imo, absolutely loved the Edgar Allan Poe like story. Short game but neat setting and interesting puzzles.

Also Day of Infamy is 55% off!
