But will Denuvo double down? Will DRM be meaningless in the near future? Will DRM get far more painful for consumers? It's a thin line, methinks. Necessary Evil? Back in the day long before digital downloads I use to pirate games. But if I liked the game I always bought it. This day and age, I either get it off a key site, or wait a few months to purchase it during a sale. At the end of the day, you may hate WB/Monolith for loot box stuff, but there are still people working on the game who did a great job, but had no control over horrible design decisions. |

I'd be interested to see a study on the effect on sales with and without Denuvo (or other DRM for that matter). At some point it starts to have diminishing returns. It would be interesting to see Denuvo's marketing pitch, pricing and guarantee.
I imagine it's something like; If Denuovo remains uncracked for 20 hours pay X amount. 10 hours pay 2/3 X, 4 hours 1/2 X etc |
