Free Weekend for Day of Infamy and INVERSUS Deluxe

Steam News announces a free weekend is underway for Day of Infamy and that a free weekend is also underway for INVERSUS Deluxe. Each game is also on sale for the duration if your sampling inspires a purchase. Here are descriptions of both:

Experience close-quarters battles in iconic WWII settings. Defend the line, storm the beach, torch the enemy, or use a radio to call in fire support. Day of Infamy is a teamwork-oriented shooter that will keep you on your toes and coming back for more with its diverse game modes and authentic arsenal.

INVERSUS Deluxe is a competitive and cooperative arcade shooter with a mind-bending twist. Player movement is constrained to opposite colors of a black and white grid. My walls are your paths and your walls are my paths. Each shot flips tile colors in an attempt to block, trap and close in on the enemy.

Aye, I remember seeing Insurgency while browsing mods to play but for some reason, didn't catch my interest, however their "Molotov" update from 2014 looks like it still could be fun.

I ended up buying it. It's bargain and have had too much fun to skip it at this price.

Sacrificed 2 fancy coffees at Starbucks and pulled the trigger on it myself, been a while since I had soo much fun playing FPS

Flamethrower is absolutely ruthless, the screams of your victims do make you cringe a little, well placed shots are very satisfying, even when the game doesn't give you any kill confirmation, the fact that there is no armor and everything hurts is pretty cool on it's own, and lastly voice acting is superb which sets the immersion to another lvl.
Yep. I noticed this was the same group that made Insurgency. I remember that HL2 mod.

Pretty neat action puzzle game. I enjoyed it. Only Windows port. It needs Linux and Mac OS ports!

I will try Day of Infamy later. Finally, the y-axis bug was fixed.
Wow, what an impressive WWII FPS game for its free weekend. It reminded me of old games like Call of Duty, Medal in Honor, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Enemy Territory, etc. The game even ran OK on my ancient 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 desktop PC with its 6 GB of RAM & ATI Radeon 4870 video card (512 MB of VRAM). A few maps got really choppy due to a memory leak. It also supports Linux and Mac OS! Multiplayer is annoying to install its special software to prevent cheaters though, but it will lets you install it later on.

Didn't have high expectations but surprisingly I had a blast playing this as well, animations seem rather clunky and the gfx aren't really top notch, however, you seem to forget that really quick once you get into combat, good times all around.

Played on Foy and Dunkirk, really well designed maps, good choke points with many routs to go around, not a clusterfuck like you get in CoD.

Worth checking out.

Downloaded this game and gave it a quick try last night. Only played against bots because I did not have a lot of time, and all I can say is this is about 15X better than the new CoD beta that I've tried.
Going to grab this game. It was a blast to play.
