If it does end up failing miles before the finish line as virtually everyone here predicts I lose nothing and gained a whole lot of entertainment along the way. But I still have the tiniest hope it will see the light of day - the pre-Alpha footage has looked incredible thus far. A couple of years ago, I mentioned on this site that although 100 systems were promised, we'll be lucky to get 10. And I said at the time, that would probably be fine, as long as each system was detailed enough.
I'm going to have to revise that now. We'll get one system. One. This one. And that will be all. Which, if it's detailed enough, might be fine for my purposes. I'll probably only put 20 or so hours into the MMO part. |

They bought three $15k packages? Sounds pretty far fetched...
We sidelined many other great games and commercial opportunities waiting for Star Citizen, but in the end we can't wait any longer, and a new generation is joining also who have absolutely no interest. This sounds like bullshit. What kind of guild pools money to buy games? What was the plan back in 2012? Hey guys, let's put all our future games money into this game and just wait... What have you been doing for the past 5 years!? Don't you just buy the game as yourself then you play it with your guild? Who pools money to buy games in large guilds?
This is probably bullshit. |

They're certainly more successful and iconic than anything DS sat on a toilet for. Two things missing from that. 1) Chris Roberts was on a leash with EA holding it, then Microsoft with the last two games, to make sure the development was on track. Secondly if I'm not mistaken Chris Roberts was removed from the last two projects. |
