No, you weren't. And who, specifically, is being hypocritical? Or is it always your tendency to paint a certain race with such a wide brush? Word for that...
It's easy. If you're white, just think of it as a word that doesn't belong to you, so you don't get to use it. Why would you want to, anyway? Was there some situation where you really wanted to say it, but didn't want to be criticized or get your ass kicked? Strange thing for a white guy to be up in arms about, unless you just need another silly thing to hold against black people.
