Larian Studios introduces Fane, the final origin character in Divinity:
Original Sin 2, and a member of the Undead race that was recently revealed for the RPG
sequel. They also unveil a Collector's Edition to appeal to Divinity:
Original Sin 2 collectors, offering a statue and other physical goodies priced

Larian Studios has today announced Fane, the sixth and final origin character in Divinity: Original Sin 2. Fane is undead, the final playable faction in the game, and appears as a ghoulish skeleton to the denizens of the world of Rivellon. Undead characters are much more than spooky skeletons, however, and include some fundamentally different gameplay mechanics in Divinity: Original Sin 2.
Larian Studios has also today unveiled full details on the Divinity: Original Sin 2 Collector’s Edition. One thousand units of the Collector’s Edition are now available for $169 on a completely new and revamped Divinity: Original Sin 2 website, including an all new online shop, at shop.larian.game. The Collector’s Edition includes:
- A Steam key for Divinity: Original Sin 2
- Box featuring art of each of the four major races of Rivellon
- A combination velvet-lined dice tray and Dungeon Master’s Screen, featuring art of the Mask of the Shapeshifter on the outside, and the Hall of Echoes on the interior
- A 10.2-inch figurine of Fane, featuring interchangeable skull head and rotating Mask of the Shapeshifter
- A Chronicles of Reaper’s Coast lorebook
- A Compendium of Riveollonian Artwork art book
- Color printed map of Reaper’s Coast
- Full Divinity: Original Sin 2 instruction manual

Yeah the finished game is a couple weeks away. It's been in EA for a while now. But yes those are some top-shelf CRPG Skelo-characters.
Just remember, if you're gonna play skelo-glow's, rip someone's face off so you don't get attacked.

Like anything it's a mixed bag. Eye of the beholder darkmoon, lands of lore 1 and torment were the RPG's to remember back then, maybe BG2 but it's been a while since I've played it.
Pillars has better combat but worse story, even baldurs gate had a good feeling world, I found pillar story just dry there were some high points but it felt really boring overall.

I backed at the CE level on KickStarter but do not remember it saying anything about a statue as part of the CE. There was something about a Dwarven Ale Mug but nothing about the statue. I guess it will be that much more of a surprise when the box arrives...

I think it would only be a valid resurgence if big developers and publishers served that genre.... as it is, we got a few gems coming but that is always the case, true RPG's, far reaching as BG2 or Torment or even the first Dragon Age or the Mass Effect trilogy, are not gonna come from big AAA developers ever again I fear.
CD Project might be the only exception.
And yes, I realize we get (it seems) every console RPG with decent sales ported to steam nowadays so that's good too

The early access alpha will be out next month on September 14th. The finished game... who knows. Probably in a year or two.

Loved the original game, so yes I backed this game too with the collectors edition. Cant wait to place this statue next to my 1 foot tall Belaphoss statues from the collectors I got with Sword Coast Legends.
Will be sweet seeing both of these side by side!!
