Needs more than just the Skaven. They're neat but they're kind of.... meh.

What a blasphemous statement Nothing can compete against furry death-balls of backstabbery and doooooooom.

That said, I really wish for a game kinda like this, just with a bit more of a story/RPG/progression focus. If this is just more of the same from Vermintide 1 I am not gonna care. Quite enjoyed this game in PUB (surprisingly enough) but the grind.. and the loot system, was just... not really conductive to fun. The levels were always the same, and without a director like in L4D I always found them to always be kinda boring when it comes down to it.

Yeah, the loot system and the grind killed it for me beyond maybe 15 hours with friends in 1-2 hour sessions. Still good overall for the $25 or so I paid. Solo, I just couldn't get back into it or want to pug.

That's my sentiment exactly. Environments are just sweet but fighting nothing but ratmen gets meh awful fast.

I agree it needs a director like L4D to moderate the difficulty and keep the pace of the game tight.

I hope its more than just new levels and characters.

The first game was a lot of fun, but it felt like a Corvette that never went above 45 mph.

They really need to put in the features, functionality and customization that players have been asking for in the current game. Leaving all that out would make the sequel not much more than an over priced DLC.

the problem was the game breaking bugs at hardest difficulty level. Things like swinging through rats when every hit counts is a real game breaker.

The original was fun but it needed better bots. None of my friends picked it up and I'm not huge on PUGs.

I hope they add a versus mode for the sequel. I got the original only about a year ago and it was great fun.
