TauCeti Unknown Origin Announced

Indie developer/publisher BadFly Interactive announces TauCeti Unknown Origin, a co-op sci-fi first-person shooter coming to PC, consoles, and mobiles. They do not specify target OSes for the PC, but add that virtual reality support is part of the plan. Word is: "TauCeti Unknown Origin offers an original and epic gameplay experience set in an exciting and exotic space world." You can get a first look at this in action in this teaser trailer, tough they hedge by saying this "does not represent the final look of the game." Here's more:

TauCeti Unknown Origin features a protagonist hero (you) living your worst nightmare. Your space ship, the famed ESS Meridian (known from Dead effect 2) has gone haywire and crashed; luckily you managed to use the only working escape pod, which has sent you straight to TauCeti f, a strange and unknown land ready to be explored

TauCeti Unknown Origin is a beautiful, but dangerous place. It features a thick tropical rainforest, deep canyons, a great rover and ruins of stone buildings. Temples of ancient civilizations might offer shelter, but also hides danger. The natives are something to experience! Throughout the environment, you may discover shattered parts from your broken vessel.

KEY FEATURES

  • Cooperative game for up to 8 players
  • Solo, group and raid content
  • Class-based game
  • PvE and PvP game modes
  • A strong story, following up of our previous games
  • Open Word game with a lot of opportunities (to explore, harvest, craft, upgrade, build base)
  • RPG elements (ability, gear sets, a ton of upgradable weapons)

I see what you did there, you know... because Destiny was such a rip-off. This looks more like Tomb Raider on Pandora.

Looks like it might be ok. The world itself doesn't look very alien however.

Nothing against your comment, but just what would an alien looking world look like in your mind?

Cause none of us really know. and if a flourished world was discovered. I dont think the look of it would be to far off looking from Earths.

NMS does a better job of it. It defeats the entire purpose of using the world "alien" when it doesn't look at all alien.

When did Destiny get tribes, and dinosaurs and spiders?

If anything (especially with that red gun at the start) it's more No Man's Sky/ARK rip off.

Using a steering wheel on a Burnout game is like using the Space Shuttle controls to fly a kite.
