Out of the Blue

I'm going to beg your indulgence, as my last update of the day may well come around midday. It is still possible I will be able to catch up with things later on, but since there's also a chance I won't, I wanted to give a heads-up so no one felt compelled to form a search party. If I don't update later, we will catch up tomorrow. Thanks for whatever patience you can muster for this situation.

Has Blue ever missed a single day of updates? I've been reading this site daily for at least 15 years, and I honestly can't remember a single day that he didn't update at least a small update. I recall a few technical issues, but never a whole day without an update.

Wonder what he does when he's sick.
Yes, he had when his mom died. Frans had to sub for him for a few days(?).

Hit And Run In Los Angeles

And no one did a damn thing other than get really close and hold their phone in the air. Could have easily taken the 3?-4? Damaged vehicles and boxed him in. Lucky no one got killed being run over. Hope no kids were in any of those cars.

(Its LA - surprised he wasn't shot by one of the car owners!)

wow
Playing through the early first stages of the doom campaign has taken me right back to 98 when I upgraded especially for the release of Unreal. I have it all turned up using g430 7.1 headphones & it is truly beautiful. The ambient sounds the atmosphere the change up of scale with the colorful detailed environments, wow.
Truly in awe & transported as I was with Unreal.

The original tests for this was done with salmon sperm. I wonder if human sperm would work just as well? I mean, if the old lady is willing to skip the price of the new sunscreen I'm ok with it.

That's called reinforcing a major part of why it's so absurd. Obviously a senior position in a management role in government is going to be six figures. That sort of salary would be commensurate...with a position that actually does something worthwhile for the money. Nice reading comprehension fail there, bud.

That's not an unreasonable salary considering the prerequisites and requirements of the job.

It's not the fucking salary it's the job itself. Planetary Protection Officer? Are you fucking kidding me? I'm sure it'll be an awesome job for whoever lands it. Getting paid close to 200k a year plus a gold plated perks package to sit around and do nothing except play XCom 2 all day long an say it's "work related".

Fixed that for ya.

It's like deja vu all over again. "Some people"? Speak for yourself. These "many people" you speak of are either fictions of your imagination, the collective delusions of whichever echo chambers your ilk infest, or the blatherings of the voices in your Corn Flakes.

And only a denizen of some podunk hovel on Bizarro World would think that $124k starting salary is too much for a job requiring "expert(ise) in planetary protection". Not exactly a 0100-level course at whichever community college you learned to read. You did read the article, didn't you? Do you really think a PPO is being hired to protect us from little green men?

I was just on the phone to Stephen Hawking & he tells me Blue is the purest form of AI, so Advanced it has developed the desire to slack off every now & again.
To do what you ask? I don't profess to know, maybe cold dialing people to ask if their fridge is running or sit on reddit rick rolling unsuspecting commenters, who knows. But according to Stephen we are to all just carry on as usual, as though nothing is "amiss" because Terminator & everything.
Stephen just sent a follow up text, we should humour "him" about "his moving House."
