Out of the Blue

I've grown comfortable with the idea that my tastes in television don't always align with the majority, as many of the shows I take to right off get cancelled just as quickly. This summer I didn't even get to mention Downward Dog before it got the axe, though apparently the eight episodes they aired were all that were planned for its first (and it turns out only) season. This was the story of a working woman and her dog, with the dog having a fully voiced inner monologue to give his outlook. This was an obvious draw for a dog lover, but it also had staying power in that regard, as I think most dog owners would agree that the pooch perspective was exceptionally well played. The dog described his motivations with perfect dog logic as demonstrations of his love, loyalty, bravery, and other valued canine traits. His description of the process of dogs domesticating humans was a perfect example of how well done this was. Anyway, as I say, I've already learned where my tastes diverge from the norm, so in spite of liking it so much, I called this for cancellation before the end of the first episode. Just sorry I was right. On the other hand, the Wikipedia article on the show says they are shopping it to other networks, so you never know. Every dog has his day, right?

Sounds like a good buy after your last post of it being about 150K under.. You can pretty much redo the whole interior and reside the exterior and roof for 150k (as long as you aren't a sucker buying overpriced floor and tiles like 13$ tiles when you can find almost identical looking tiles for 1-2$)

Our house went up for sale today. On top of that, we agreed on terms last night on the house we are buying. Phone is going nuts for showings of our house. Hope to be sold today.

I'm not sure of conditions where you are, but, in 2015, our real-estate agent had us wait a few days before accepting an offer. We actually wound up with two buyers who bid the final sale price to 10% above asking.

In any event good luck to you.

Blue, I marathoned "Ozark" this weekend. It's on Netflix. Loved it. Ten episodes, and with the ratings it's getting, little chance it won't get a second season.

https://www.netflix.com/title/80117552

EDIT: Ok, just watched 1st ep. of "Downward Dog". Loved the dog parts, but the human parts just seemed like something to get through to get to the clever dog commentary. I'll keep watching though. Martin's part are too good. Regarding Martin's perspective of how dogs and humans came together... I've always had the view that our ability to befriend and/or domesticate animals is greatly aided by having fingers that can deliver unique ear-scratching and belly-rubbing experiences. Imagine the first time a befriended wolf trusts you enough to allow you to pet it or rub it's belly... for the first time ever. Their wolf brain must freak out! "Ok, where has THIS been all my life?!"

Who wouldn't want to live in Wis - politics notwithstanding - beautiful country, lots of dariy products and byproducts, hot women of Scandinavian stock, and the best NFL team in football. And whilst I haven't been to Milwaukee, I know several people who have and all agree it's a pretty awesome.

Minn on the other hand? Enh, you're guess is as good as mine. It may have been sorta ok when the still had the North Stars, but that's about it.
