Out of the Blue

I picked up this discounted spaghetti western DVD collection years ago on a lark, but never got around to checking it out. This offers 44 movies on 11 disks (two to a side on double-sided disks), so I knew the audio/video quality would be iffy at best. I checked some of this out yesterday, and while it had its entertainment value, I was soon struck by how I would much rather be re-watching Once Upon a Time in the West. This is probably my all-time favorite western, and it'd been a while, so the re-viewing turned out to be a great call. And now I see that today is the 35th anniversary of the release of Blade Runner back in 1982. Like OUATITW, this is probably my favorite film of its genre (romantic comedy, duh!), so I'm going to re-watch this one in celebration. Maybe this will kick off a favorite movie binge.

Henry Fonda was so badass in that flick. Apparently he took a lot of flack for that role as everyone was just so used to him playing the good guy all the time. He definitely should have played more villains.

One of my top 6 spaghetti westerns that seems to get overlooked by a lot of people is 'My Name is Nobody'. Terence Hill, Henry Fonda and a Morricone soundtrack, if you haven't seen it yet Blue I highly recommend it.

So, I'm guessing he can mask his caller id to whatever he wants to prevent the number from being blocked. And I assume he is using VOIP, but I'd still like to know a little more on technical side about how the flooder works. If he could make a small executable which others could use to do the same thing, that might be cool...

That helicopter is somewhat interesting as it will at least be a commercial product unlike some of the other fast helicopters.

For anyone interested in why helicopters can only go so fast, look up retreating blade stall.
Do you have a single fact to back that up?

I remember going to the theater to see Blade Runner shortly after it opened in 1982. We were so starved for serious science fiction movies then. All we had prior to this was 2001 and Alien (I might put Empire Strikes Back in there). 35 years ago? Man I am feeling old.

That would be cool, but me thinks the amount of money the patreon is pulling in prevents his altruistic side from divulging those methods. And what can be done for good can easily be used for bad, so it's probably best that he keeps his methods under lock and key and only let it leak out the NSA WIKI WIKI WIKI way. https://www.patreon.com/ProjectMayhem

One of the best pieces of entertainment ever made imo. It should be a 24/7 live-stream with alternating scammer numbers and he'd be rolling in money. Heck, I would support that.

I use the harmonica riff from Once Upon a Time in the West as my cell ring tone. I have yet to hear that on any other phone.

Blade Runner, theatrical release version or directors cut?

I believe the directors cut removes the voice over narration, although Ford apparently hated doing it I think it adds to the whole detective theme, plus I think it would have been pretty confusing for original theater goers to really get what was going on.

There are a few of these prop-helo hybrid designs under development. Although mostly for the military, you know that Sikorsky, et. al. are looking at the commercial market too.
Here's the Sikorsky S-97, which uses coax main rotors instead of wings to combat retreating blade stall.
Here's another tiltrotor design, but just the props tilt, not the nacelles (like the V-22 Osprey).
And I bet the helo in the article is derived from the Eurocopter X3, since Eurocopter is now owned by Airbus.

RIP RedEye9. We miss you.

There are several different versions... The one I watched is the final cut.
